It’s always refreshing to re-visit a site a few years down the line and see the tree we planted there is happy, healthy and perfectly established in its home.
We planted this mature 4500-litre bag size Pin Oak (Quercus palustris) in the sweltering heat of December 2008. This tree was considered mature and “fully grown” and definitely made an instant impact once it was planted. We decided to come say hi, and were astonished that in merely 10 years, the tree has almost doubled in size and it looks like it has been growing there for a century already!
Now the current generation and future generations can enjoy the shade of the tree. It’s true that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, but the second best time is now. And with us, it will feel like you’ve planted the tree 20 years ago in any case. 😉
