A neat tree with delicately fine leaves and rounded canopy that can withstand a variety of conditions ranging from drought to the very cold areas as well. Its willowy appearance will soften any hard landscape and it can also be planted as a screening tree to add privacy. This makes for an excellent choice for any garden setting ranging from small to large to street and avenue trees through to parks. Naturally occurring on the banks of rivers and vleis in a narrow strip that follows the Orange/Gariep River from the Free State through the Northern Cape to southern Namibia.
