Olea europaea 'Mission'

Flower Colour
Fruit Colour
Evergreen | Exotic | Slow Growing Speed | Good Coastal Tolerance | Good Wind Tolerance

The Mission olive makes a stunning feature tree. Suitable for planting in small gardens due to slow growth speed and compact growth habit/ form. For this reason it is also suitable for containerised growing in planters as well as pots.

The grey-green leaves are leathery and the smooth pale grey bark is ideally suited for a formal garden setting. The tree is hardy and can tolerate some degree of wind and poor soils. It can also be pruned and planted as a hedge. Mission olives are cultivated for both pickling and oil production. A well-rounded neat tree with interesting foliage and fruit - you can't go wrong!
