Evergreen | Indigenous | Fast Growing Speed | Good Coastal Tolerance | Good Wind Tolerance
A hardy, indigenous tree that will withstand an array of challenging environmental conditions ranging from frost to drought, from wind to clay soil, this tree can do it all! It is also suitable for urban small gardens because it won't get bigger than 6 metres and is also non-messy.
Interesting is that the flowers are male or female on different trees. Both options have their advantages: The male flowers will have a sweet scent whereas the female flowers contain the pink-red fruit that have a very attractive display. Win-Win!
