A fantastic evergreen and indigenous tree that is perfectly suited for the coastal and windy conditions of the Cape. This tree naturally grows in forested areas, although it has adapted so well to the Cape conditions that you can also find it growing naturally around Table Mountain. It is very hardy with beautiful glossy dark green leaves. Our favourite part are the stunning fruits that are borne in late summer after the sweetly scented flowers.

This tree attracts bees and birds to your garden and the pale grey trunk adds ornamental value to its many features.

Slow growing, making it ideal for the smaller urban gardens with low maintenance requirements - just add water!
