On 21 March 2026, Trees South Africa hosted its Market Day event, Tussen Boom en Bosch, at our nursery in Stellenbosch, bringing together the public, industry professionals, and families for a day rooted in nature and connection.
The event was designed to open our working farm to the community in a meaningful way, offering guests the opportunity to experience trees beyond the transactional. Visitors enjoyed guided tree and wine pairing tours through the nursery, where different species were thoughtfully paired with selected wines to highlight the character, origin, and sensory experience of each.
For younger guests, a tree-themed treasure hunt created an engaging way to explore the landscape, while a variety of local vendors contributed to a vibrant market atmosphere.
At its heart, the day reflected our belief that trees are not simply products, but long-term investments in place-making, biodiversity, and legacy. As growers, we see ourselves not only as suppliers to the green industry, but as custodians of something much bigger—helping shape landscapes that will be experienced for generations to come.
Opening our farm in this way allowed us to share that story more personally, strengthening relationships with both our clients and the broader community.
